What is the Wargameroom?
We have been in business since 1989 at 6780 W. Lincoln ave. West Allis WI.
We first started selling Military Miniatures, Fantasy Figures and Role Playing games.
In 1994 I first started selling Paintball equipment and purchased the land near Batavia WI.
Our first Paintball game was in May 1989 at the field in Batavia.
In 2000 I started selling Air Soft equipment, but in very limited quantities and models of aeg’s, limited at that time to the ICS aeg’s, and springer pistols and rifles.
By the end of 2004 I put on my first Air Soft game at the field in Batavia.
Since that time Paintball has declined, but Air Soft has increased in numbers of players to the point today where Air Soft dominates the field in numbers of games and players attending.

Who is the Wargameroom?
My Name is Gary Blum, I was born in 1950, so do the math.
I have 4 children two adult boys and two girls, one an adult the other a teen.
I served 31 years in the Military both active and reserve, with a combat tour in Viet Nam as a Rifleman in a Rifle Company, part of the 173rd Airborne Bde.  I served in the Army Special Forces (Green Beret) for over 20 of those years, doing training in Demo, Hwy Weapons (to the SF heavy weapons means mortars), Infantry tactics, and Intelligence.  I have trained soldiers going to Bosnia in the art of land warfare to include avoiding booby traps, patrolling and military tactics.  I have parachuted out of a perfectly good aircraft numerous times.
While doing this job for the Country, I served 30 years as a Police Officer to include 25 years with the City of Milwaukee.
I have a very high sense of pride for my Country, and I have served it well in my opinion.
As for my business, it is a part time business, but still something that has to make money to be able to pay the bills so the Field and the store front can remain open.
I have a very high sense of honesty, which most people who know me and have dealt with me can attest to.  If parents come into my store asking questions regarding either Paintball or Air Soft I will give them both the good and bad, and advise them on any laws that apply to the sport.
I would rather see a kid not play the sport if their parents feel that it is not for them, who would know better?
I have a store policy (there is no state law regarding the selling to minors,  Paintball or Air Soft equipment) that I will not sell to any minor under the age of 16 without his parent or guardian present.

I wanted to bring out all of the facts surrounding my store and my life so people can come to me and ask me questions regarding the Air Soft or Paintball sport and know that they will get honest and to my best ability, truthful information.   Because I believe either sport is an excellent hobby, I will do everything in my power to help make the activity as safe and fun and for the beginning players by sharing my experience and knowledge.

In conclusion if anyone has any questions regarding these sports please feel free to contact me, and this also applies to the parents of the younger persons thinking about going into the sport.
